The Person Behind the Music

William Shannon was born in Shamokin, Pennsylvania, and spent his early years in Locust Gap before growing up in Lansdale. He served in the military with the 8th Infantry Unit and later earned a degree in Applied Science, working in the allied health field for over 20 years.

William's musical roots run deep. Influenced early on by soul legends like Stevie Wonder and Diana Ross & The Supremes, as well as a rich mix of folk and rock, he began learning guitar by ear as a child. He played through his service years and purchased a Martin guitar upon returning home. 

Although he paused his music career while raising his children, he reignited his passion about 15 years ago. Today, William brings heartfelt acoustic performances to a wide range of audiences, always with the goal of connecting people through the shared power of music.
